The authorities of the Department of Public Health affirmed that the containment measures will continue for at least the next three months.

During a meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors the director of the Department of Public Health, Dra. Barbara Ferrer, stated that the quarantine order was will extend for the next three months.

"With all certainty the order ‘Safer at home’ will last until the end of July"Said Ferrer.

"Our hope is that using public health data, we will be able to lift the restrictions for the next three months."Added the director.

The director's statements come after the epidemiologist of the White House, Anthony Fauci, warned of the danger of resuming economic activity and normal life too soon, fearing a new outbreak.
