Up to two nutritious meals per child will be delivered daily to LA schools

Free meals for children in Los Angeles schools

In an effort to support families and ensure the well-being of Angelin children during school closings, Los Angeles Unified School District in association with the Red Crosswill enable 60 locations for families to pick up free meals for their children from March 18.

Following the instructions of the health authorities and the government, deliveries will be made to the parents or representatives of the children avoiding the greatest possible personal contact. The delivery centers will be open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m..

"Our focus remains on providing continuity of learning for our students, supporting students and families in greatest need," Superintendent of Schools Austin Beutner said in a statement.
