After four years at the head of the Consulate General of San Francisco, the mandate of Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens ends Thursday, August 27. Appointed by decree on July 27, 2020, Frédéric Jung replaces him at the head of a very large constituency that includes Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Utah , Washington State, Wyoming and of course Northern California.

Recently in post at the Ministry of the Interior as diplomatic adviser, it will not be a first American experience for Frédéric Jung: from 2010 to 2014, he worked in New York as Africa Advisor, then spokesperson for the Permanent Representation of France to the UN. Originally from Alsace, he graduated from Sciences-Po Strasbourg.

Arrived in San Francisco in May 2016, Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens left California for India: he moved to New Delhi where he would occupy the post of Cultural Action Cooperation Advisor. This strategic position will allow him to work closely with the French Ambassador to India, in particular in the management of university partnerships between the two countries, as well as in research and the audiovisual sector.
