A forest fire that started Sunday afternoon has consumed more than 1,300 acres and more than 350 firefighters are working to extinguish it.

He Los Angeles County Fire Department The containment work of a forest fire that started last Sunday afternoon in Soledad Canyon Road and who has consumed 1,300 acres.

The fire started around 3:30 pm Sunday under extremely hot and windy conditions at the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Freeway 14. To contain it the Los Angeles County Fire Department is using 35 trucks, 4 helicopters and more than 350 firefighters.

During a press conference broadcast from the site, around 10:00 a.m. on Monday, authorities reported that the fire has been contained by 30%.

As reported by the Department in a statement, an evacuation order has been made for 9 residences near the fire. The department has had the support of L.A. Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Police to perform road closures and evacuations.
