"Farewell Mr Haffmann" will transport the audience of Theater Raymond Kabbaz in the harsh reality of France Vichy. The piece written and directed by Jean-Philippe Daguerre will be presented on the stage of the French High School Friday, September 20 at 7:30 pm.

Built in short sequences, this thriller-like piece puts the spotlight on the daily life of three French men in 1942, in the midst of German occupation: jeweler Joseph Haffmann offers his employee Pierre Vigneau to entrust him with his jewelery, if he accepts the hide. Pierre then offers him a deal: that Joseph agrees to try to make a child to his wife Isabelle. Very talented, Pierre is acclaimed by Nazi dignitaries for his talent as a stone sculptor. As the play progresses, the relationships between these three characters will deteriorate.

"Farewell Mr Haffmann" was a major success in France, winning four awards at Molières in 2018, including the best private show.
