The Health Department issued recommendations for residents of some areas of the county this Friday morning
The weather forecast of the National Meteorological Service (NWS) reveals the approach of a new heat wave in southern California starting this weekend.
The heat wave is expected to begin this Sunday and last until Wednesday despite the fact that autumn formally began on September 22.
Following the NWS forecast, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a extreme heat alert for western area of the San Fernando Valley from Sunday 27 to Wednesday 30.

For his part, Antelope Valley has a heat alert from Saturday to Wednesday. Also in the eastern area of the San Fernando Valley the heat will be less intense than the opposite extreme with alert between Sunday and Wednesday.
The Eastern San Gabriel Valley and Santa Clarita Valley It also has a heat alert from Sunday to Wednesday. The alert goes into effect Monday through Wednesday in western San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles Basin.
The authorities recommend staying hydrated, avoiding being in the sun during the most intense hours, wearing sunscreen and hats. Also remember not to leave children or pets in cars parked in the sun.
