The French DJ made the buzz at the end of April with a concert held in the tower he lives in Miami. David Guetta starts again Saturday, May 30 at 7 pm (ET) with a New York version of “United at Home”, an event intended to raise money for several humanitarian organizations.
The tower from which Guetta will swing the sound is kept secret – it is a question of avoiding the gatherings, which had taken place in Miam -, but the “dance party” will be broadcast live on social networks. It promises the participation of surprise guests, including caregivers and others “First responders”. “We’re up to something special that people can enjoy at home all over the world, the artist said in a press release announcing the event. In As a DJ, the crowd is the most important part of a show and while we can’t be together at a club or festival, we can come together in other ways, all the while helping those who have it. Not needed anymore”.
In Miami, the event, seen by 25 million people around the world, raised $ 750,000 (including 300,000 donated by the DJ himself). In New York, it will benefit several organizations: The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, chaired by Chirlane McCray, the mayor’s wife; Feeding America; the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France, and the WHO (World Health Organization).
