Several grocery store chains in Southern California have reserved sales hours to make shopping easier for seniors during the coronavirus quarantine.

With staples like toilet paper and milk flying off the shelves due to panic buying amid fears of the coronavirus, several major grocery store chains in the Los Angeles region they have reserved a purchase time for the elderly who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, to make sure they can get the items they need.

Here is a list:

  • Ralphs offers dedicated shopping for people 65 and older from 7:00 a.m. at 7:30 a.m. daily from March 20.
  • Target is reserving the first hour of shopping every Wednesday for seniors and those with underlying health problems.
  • Vons, Albertsons and Pavilions will be reserved every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 a.m. for seniors, pregnant women, and people with compromised immune systems.
  • Whole Foods will open all of its stores to customers over the age of 60 an hour before opening to the general public.
  • Northgate Market – All 41 Northgate Market locations are booking the first hour for seniors and disabled customers only.
  • Vallarta supermarkets will be open from 7 to 8 am for people over 65, pregnant and disabled.
  • Super A Foods is reserving purchases from 7 to 8 a.m. for those over 65 years old.
  • Smart & Final will open from 7: 30-8 a.m. for customers over 65 and people with disabilities.
  • Stater Bros. Markets: All 169 locations will open at 7:45 a.m. for people over 65 years old.
  • Big Saver Foods will open from 7: 30-8 a.m. for people over 65 years old.
  • Walmart will give adults over 60 a shopping hour before stores open every Tuesday. Walmart pharmacies and Vision Centers will also be open at this time.
  • Winco at 12880 Day St. in Moreno Valley will offer reserved purchases from 6: 30-7 a.m.
  • Costco at 12700 Day St. in Moreno Valley won't let disabled shoppers wait, prioritizing their entry.
  • Cardenas Markets at 25065 Sunnymead Blvd. and 14930 Perris Blvd. in Moreno Valley will have shopping reserved for the elderly, disabled, caregivers, and lifeguards from 7 to 8 a.m.
  • Glendale Firefighters They will begin delivering food to older people amid the coronavirus outbreak. Those who wish to use the service can call 818-548-4814.
