Several Southern California counties also reported new cases of COVID-19 sufferers on Saturday.

Coronavirus: 2 new deaths, 59 new cases reported Saturday in Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County health officials announced two additional coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the county's total to four deaths.

The authorities also announced 59 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 351. Of these, 69 people have been hospitalized.

The two people who died were over 65 years old and had underlying health conditions. One lived in the Miracle Mile neighborhood and the other lived in Del Rey.

Here is the current number of new coronavirus cases across Southern California:

  • Los Angeles County: 351 confirmed cases (4 deaths)
  • Orange County: 78 cases (confirmed and suspected)
  • Riverside County: 30 confirmed cases (5 deaths)
  • San Bernardino County: 10 cases
  • San Diego County: 80 suspected cases
  • Ventura County: 19 cases

California has 1,224 confirmed cases Saturday. 63 people have died from COVID-19 in the state.

This week, the state began receiving the sanitary materials required to treat patients with COVID-19 and help prevent viral disease from spreading.
